I wanted you to know how much I appreciated and loved Fred.  He was, in recent years since my divorce, a surrogate Grandfather, passing sentence on all my new beaus!  He came right out and spoke his mind (so unlike Fred...) and told me when I was barking up the wrong tree or visa versa.  I loved his stories and his joie de vivre.

 

He was Said's best friend and traveling companion and I can't think of one of them without the other.  Said, Fred and Joe R. were like the Three Musketeers, in the best sense of the words.  They had a great sense of humor, tried to do good for the world, and loved their friends and family.  Can one ask for more in this life?

 

It to me is quite fitting that Fred and Said passed away within weeks of each other.
